PEMINDAHAN ILMU STEM MELALUI KESEDARAN PENGGUNAAN OBJEK RANGKAIAN (IOT) KEPADA PELAJAR SEKOLAH KEBANGSAAN PEKAN NENAS

A knowledge transfer programme on awareness of Internet of Things (IOT) took place on 24th October 2018 between 28 staff from Sekolah Kejuruteraan Elektrik UTM, 27 third-year undergraduate students from Sekolah Kejuruteraan Elektrik and 100 students standard-6, in Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Nenas. The Aim of the program was to introduce STEM in general and then go into more spesific field such as IOT, embedded system, and robotics. One of the activites was seminar on basic IOT and how they can relate IOT in their life. Videos, group activities, and gamification were done accordance to 21-century learning innovation. We call this as active blended learning. The program was an eye-opener to the primary students as they now know another and done activities together such as prototype development. All students were aasigned with their own fasilitotor from SKE UTM students. In order to assess students' understanding as the outcome of the programme, an online quiz on the presentation materials was held before and at the end of the session. The outcome was analyzed later on.
