SILVER AWARD FOR PECIPTA 2017
Pecipta 2017 this year has been held in Stadium tertutup Gong Badak, Kuala Terengganu. We can say that this is the first ever time PECIPTA was taken place outside Kuala Lumpur. The competition were participated by various local universities, Industries, and also Community Colleges. I was also participated in this competition with my product, X-band Polarization Insensitive and Wide Angle Metamaterial Absorbers. This product managed to win Silver Award.
I am very proud to announce that we, the members of Advanced RF and microwave research group (ARFMRG) has won 3 awards in INATEX 2015 through 2 research products. The first product, which has been invented myself based on my PHD research, namely "metamaterial absorber" has won a gold medal followed by a special Jury Award due to the product outstanding capability. Another one product namely "Dual-Polarize Antenna" invented by Dr. Mohamed Nasrun Osman also won a gold medal due to its unique dual-polarization capability. This is so far our best achievement in UTM INATEX so far.

EFFORT TO BE ON TRACK WITH 5G TECHNOLOGIES
With the rapid growing of telecommunication technology, we, the members of Advanced RF & Microwave Research Group, ARFMRG took an initiative to be on track with the technology development. Therefore, we were attending a course focusing on Milimeter wave antenna design and technologies for 5G. The two days course was take place in UTM International Campus in Kuala Lumpur at 26-27 December 2016. The speaker was Prof. Dr Mohamed Himdi from University of Rennes, France.
UTM WIN BEST OF THE BEST IN PECIPTA 2013
I am very proud to announce that my research group, Advanced RF and Microwave Research Group, ARFMRG from FKE, UTM have won 4 prizes through 3 products in International Conference and Exposition on Invention of Institutions of Higher Learning 2013 (PECIPTA 2013). Among the products, a flexible wearable antenna developed by textile material and metallic denim has been awarded as "BEST OF THE BEST" for the category of Art, Design, and Creativity which give us RM3000 as a reward.
